Falko’s research aims at developing and testing interventions to change behaviours relevant to health and health care, theory of behaviour change and research methods for behavioural research.
Falko Sniehotta is Director of the NIHR Policy Research Unit Behavioural Science and Professor of Behavioural Medicine and Health Psychology at Newcastle University. He is senior investigator of the NIHR School of Public Health Research, leading the themes research theme ‘Behaviour Change at Population Level’. His research focuses on developing and evaluating behavioural interventions to improve health of individuals and populations. He is a psychologist by background and is particularly interested in mechanisms to individualise interventions and in maintenance of behaviour change.
