Lesley has a research background in social policy and sociology but moved into research operations management of health-related research early in her career. Having worked for a large clinical trials unit, she also has experience of research project set-up and research governance management. More recently she has set up and managed large NIHR centres working at the interface of NIHR infrastructure, universities, and NHS organisations to deliver high quality research.
