Our PPIE public strategy group took part in the Unit’s virtual away day.
As core members of the PRU the public members were invited to participate in the Unit’s online away day.
The day was Chaired by the Unit Manager with a series of short presentations looking at the Unit priorities and future research direction. There was also a talk by a guest speaker Dr Alison Wright, a senior researcher on the Human Behaviour Change project led by a team of researchers at University College London and a group of academic collaborators.
Alison talked through some of the methods behind the project and answered questions from the public group.
During breakout sessions there were small group discussions on a range of topics including health inequalities and the levelling up agenda.
The public members were invited to contribute their perspectives and experiences to help shape the future strategy of unit and identify new areas of research.
A summary of the day and future plans was then presented at the Unit’s monthly management in May.
